Aherne Sheehan School of Irish Dance

Running an Irish dancing school is one of my greatest joys in life. I have had a passion for Irish dance since I was 7 years old, and sharing that passion by teaching kids aged 5 through 55 (seriously, my oldest competing dancer is 52 years old) brings me untold joy. Running a school of over 90 dancers involves wearing an enormous amount of hats - choreography, administration, strategy, scheduling, fashion designer, hair stylist, makeup artist, psychologist, mediator, social media manager, marketing and PR manager, and head cheerleader. The teaching part is easy, everything else is just fun (and at times stressful), and I wouldn't have it any other way.
